Please read these terms carefully.
By booking or availing an online (telemedicine) consultation with Dr. Susmita Banra, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with a consultation.
Dr. Susmita Banra ("the doctor") is a Registered Medical Practitioner (Reg. No. 5808, Goa Medical Council). Consultations are provided in accordance with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020 and the applicable regulations of the National Medical Commission / erstwhile Medical Council of India.
Online consultation is NOT suitable for medical emergencies. If you experience a severe or life-threatening condition — such as a serious allergic reaction, difficulty breathing, chest pain, heavy bleeding, or thoughts of self-harm — do not use this service. Call your local emergency number or go to the nearest hospital immediately.
As you initiate the consultation, your consent to a telemedicine consultation is implied, in line with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020. You may choose to discontinue the consultation at any stage.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information, medical history, photographs and reports you share. Any assessment, advice or prescription is based on the information you provide; incomplete, incorrect or misleading information may affect the assessment, and the doctor shall not be responsible for outcomes arising from such information.
A telemedicine consultation cannot fully replace an in-person physical examination. Using her professional judgment, the doctor may at any stage advise an in-person examination, further investigations, or decline or discontinue the consultation where it is in your interest. Care is provided to the same standard as an in-person consultation, within the intrinsic limits of telemedicine.
A prescription will be issued only where clinically appropriate, in accordance with applicable law and the permissible medicine lists under the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020. Certain medicines (including Schedule X drugs and narcotic or psychotropic substances) cannot be prescribed via telemedicine. Age and identity verification may be required, and consultations for minors require the presence of a consenting adult.
Medicine is not an exact science. Individual responses to treatment vary, and no guarantee, assurance or warranty is given as to any specific result, improvement or cure.
Your personal and medical information is collected and processed only for the purpose of your consultation and care, and is kept confidential in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable data-protection laws and rules. By proceeding, you consent to such collection and processing. You may request access to, correction of, or (subject to record-retention obligations under the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines) erasure of your data. However, the doctor shall not be held responsible for any breach of privacy or confidentiality caused by a technology failure, third-party platform, or any person other than herself, that is beyond her reasonable control.
Consultation fees are payable in advance at the time of booking. You may reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment, or missed appointments (no-shows), are non-refundable. Once a consultation has begun, the fee is non-refundable. If the doctor is unable to conduct your consultation, you will be offered a rescheduled appointment or a full refund. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7 working days.
Consultation logs, records and prescriptions are retained as required under applicable law and the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020.
Advice given is specific to the consultation and the information provided at that time. It does not replace your regular physician or any ongoing in-person medical care you may require.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Goa, India.
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your consultation applies.
